Felting With Resists

Learn to make to make 3 dimensional felted objects.

Materials needed:-

  • Something to make a resist from.  It needs to be waterproof, flexible and preferably something you can feel the edge of through the wool eg. old Xrays, off-cuts of laminating avail from Office Works or printers, blue foam carpet underlay which is about 1-2ml thick, thick plactic etc.
  • towel
  • bubble wrap
  • liquid soap and squirty pear and container to hold soapy water
  • roller and strings to secure felt to roller whilst rolling
  • texta
  • scissors
  • wool
  • Ideas of what you would like to make eg bag, case for glasses, bowl, vase.  There are many possibilities but for a first class and something that can be finished on the day, a small ideal would be a good start.
